Blister Line
CPR has purchased new equipment to handle additional capacity. The newest piece of equipment is a Pharmaworks TF1e blister machine. The TF1e is a state of the art blister machine with an inline cartoner. The TF1e features more automation than the previous model.

Learn more about the new TF1e:
The TF1e is the perfect machine for customers that require larger blister cards. Building on the success of the TF1, the TF1e is a larger format version of the TF1. The wider format range allows single blisters as large as 90mm x 165mm to be produced in one forming cycle.

Upgrades to Bottling Production Lines
CPR’s bottling production lines also features lots of new equipment. The new equipment includes new bottle unscramblers, labeler, metal detectors, induction sealers, retorquer and shrink labeler with tunnel. The new updated equipment will help CPR work more efficiently with new state of the art equipment.

The addition of the new equipment positions CPR as one of the more technologically advanced pharmaceutical contract packaging companies.  If you’d like to learn more about this new equipment or about how CPR can serve your contract pharmaceutical packaging needs, contact our sales team.

    CPR ACQUIRES ADDITIONAL FACILITY

Contract Packaging Resources, Inc, (CPR) located in Greensboro, North Carolina has recently acquired additional working space for their pharmaceutical packaging operations.  The 30,000 square foot additions will help CPR warehouse extra packaging materials and supplies for their growing customer base.  Since the beginning of 2013, CPR has seen an uptick in demand and felt that the addition of 30,000 square feet would allow smoother operations for their current and new customers.  CPR’s current facility totals 80,000 square feet.

In addition to the newly acquired square footage, CPR has implemented a second shift on their blister and bottling lines at the beginning of the year   Due to the increase in demand, CPR felt it necessary to add a second shift to meet customer timelines and as a way to augment capacity for current and future demand.

    CPR ADDSNEW BOTTLING TECHNOLOGY

    CPR-pharmaceutical-bottling-new-technology2

Contract Packaging Resources Inc. has recently upgraded their bottling lines to accommodate the changing needs of the pharmaceutical bottling industry.  Many customers are changing their packaging to unique square, oblong and other shapes so that they might stand out in a competitive point of sale environment. The way these bottles move down the bottling line and the manner in which the label is applied are problems for conventional bottling and labeling equipment.

CPR solved this problem by purchasing a new Quadrel Labeler that is capable of applying labels on bottles of many shapes and sizes, from 25cc bottles to 1500 cc bottles.  The end result is a more flexible label application process that is adaptable to almost any bottle shape and size.  This allows CPR’s customers to test the limits of packaging design and gain a competitive advantage at the point of sale.
